The area of sexual wellness is one of the biggest markets out there, and yet it is very underfunded. Just to give you an idea, the use of connected sextech devices has increased by 87% year over year, and is projected to more than double over the next 5 years. Last year, the market was worth $62 billion. By 2026, it is projected to exceed $125 billion. Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?
The sexual wellness market has several opportunities ready to be exploited. I leave you with four of these areas as examples:
1. Sex toys: with the pandemic, the interest in sex toys increased, and there are still unexplored market niches, with not many products suitable for use by people with disabilities or aimed at transgender people and people of different sexualities and identities.
2. Hygiene and personal care: the demand for hygiene care specifically related to sexuality is a market that is also in great demand, and is expected to grow even more in the future.
3. Apps and technology: there is a great market opportunity for apps that answer questions about or are linked to sexuality, especially for niches (such as people with disabilities or people taking certain medications). The app could answer questions, suggest products or exercises.
4. Vitamins and supplements: another market with a lot of potential is that of vitamins and supplements aimed at sexual well-being, either for a specific problem or through monthly subscription models.
